The research group is dedicated to developing innovative techniques for efficiently processing, organizing, indexing, and querying large-scale unstructured data enabling users to find relevant information accurately. Personalization lies at the core of SWAP’s research endeavors. The lab investigates methods to tailor content, services, and user experiences based on individual preferences, behaviors, and contexts. SWAP researchers are deeply involved in natural language processing, aiming to bridge the gap between human language and machine understanding. They develop algorithms for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and machine translation, contributing to the advancement of the field.
